Position Description / Expectations
Documenting diagnostics, services, and equipment used for each vehicle and maintaining an accurate and complete record for each company asset.
Complete repairs as appropriate and consult with the fleet manager to determine what jobs would be better outsourced.
Create and uphold Preventative maintenance schedule and complete regular inspections to keep vehicles in the best condition.
Maintaining certifications, education, and qualifications as required by the localities, State Office of EMS, other governing officials/agencies, and the company.
Present yourself as a positive representative of Fast Track EMS, related businesses, and of the EMS profession.
Mechanic should have their own toolbox with appropriate tools; shop equipment available for some jobs.
High School Diploma or GED
Required: 3+ Years professional experience working on Diesel engines including 7.3 / 6.0 Powerstroke and Duramax Engines.
Experience with wheel, suspension, and brake systems. Advanced understanding of electrical systems of a diesel vehicle.
Preferred: 5+ Years experience maintaining ambulances or other diesel emergency vehicles.
Licenses and Certifications
Required: ASE or Equivalent
Preferred: Certifications issued by Ambulance Manufacturers.

Poor Driving History to include DUI, Reckless Driving, Excessive Traffic accidents, Excessive Tickets, or other situations at the discretion of Fast Track EMS management
